What you will do

• Harden services against the failure modes seen in production, not in theory.
• Run load tests that reflect real traffic shapes rather than convenient ones.
• Partner with security on threat models for the systems you own.
• Work with data teams to make event streams reliable enough to build on.
• Design and ship backend services that stay responsive under sustained load.
• Contribute to hiring by running technical interviews and calibrating on signal.
• Own a production system end to end, from architecture through on-call support.
