Family Therapy Specialist

Monte Nido & Affiliates, LLC is actively seeking a Family Therapy Specialist to deliver evidence-based family therapy for clients with eating disorders within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this impactful role, you will conduct family assessments, lead both family and multi-family sessions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough family assessments and create collaborative treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual family and multi-family therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques.
• Educate families about eating disorders, the recovery process, and strategies for preventing relapse.
• Work closely with psychiatrists, dietitians, nurses, and other clinical team members to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulations and agency policies.
• Engage in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and assist in discharge planning.
• Provide crisis intervention and develop safety plans as required.
• Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Foster a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and inclusive care environment.
• Effectively communicate treatment progress and recommendations to families and the care team.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in family systems therapy.
• Knowledge of eating disorder assessment and treatment methodologies.
• Proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
• Familiarity with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques.
• Understanding of Family-Based Treatment (FBT/Maudsley) approaches.
• Ability to conduct clinical risk assessments and crisis interventions.
• Skills in treatment planning and documentation within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Experience with interdisciplinary team collaboration.
• Competence in psychoeducation for families.
• Commitment to delivering trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.
